KATHMANDU, FEB 25 - New Samsung phones enter the Nepali market almost every month. And, this month is no exception, as International Marketing Services (IMS), authorised distributor of Samsung mobile phones, has launched two new dual-SIM models—Galaxy Y Pro and Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos.
According to IMS Chairman Deepak Malhotra the Galaxy Y Pro is targeted at urban consumers while Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos is aimed at semi-urban market.

Galaxy Y Pro is Samsung’s First QWERTY smartphone with dual SIM. The phone comes with a 3MP camera and 2.6-inch screen, giving more
business-friendly experience with better flexibility. Powered by Android 2.3(Gingerbread), the handset offers enhanced productivity with the inclusion of Polaris and Find My Mobile professional tools. Polaris offers easy viewing and editing of a wide range of Office documents, enabling users to work with Word, Excel, Power Point and even PDF files while on-the-move.
Samsung’s Find My Mobile Service ensures peace-of-mind by letting users remotely lock the phone at anytime, as well as trace the phone or remotely wipe its contents in case of loss or theft.
Users can also enjoy Social Hub Premium, offering support for push email and messaging, and seamless calendar and contact synchronisation between the phone and users’ Google, Yahoo and MSN accounts. The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro costs Rs 17,000.
Similarly, the Champ Deluxe Duos is a powerful yet compact device with a 2.8-inch screen with Smart Touchwiz user interface. It features a Virtual QWERTY keypad, native Facebook and Twitter apps and messengers such as Yahoo, MSN and GTalk. All these features make the phone an extremely appealing device.
Other features of the Champ Deluxe Duos include 3.0 Bluetooth connectivity at 24mbps, Push Mail with Active Sync and Opera Mini browser. ChatOn (Samsung Messenger service) available on the phone provides a new way to
keep in touch. The 1.3MP camera, MP3 player, FM radio and 3.5mm ear jack make sure that users get an entertaining multi-media experience. This model is priced at Rs 6,990.
