Kathmandu, August 11 - Tribhuvan University, Nepal and Macquarie University, Australia was signed on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote education and academic collaboration.

Centre for International Relations of Tribhuvan University and Tanveer Shaheed, senior country manager of Macquarie University were present on the occasion.
According to the MoU, Tribhuvan University and Macquarie University will exchange students, officials, academic materials and information. The two universities will also conduct joint research activities and organise seminars, conferences, guest lecture series and hold academic meetings in the years to come.
Macquarie University is a research intensive University and home to some of the world’s most eminent researchers.

Macquarie University has a great deal to offer to Nepalese institutions and prospective students. This MoU will initiate the beginning of deep and meaningful engagement in Nepal.
This MoU portrays the importance of building bilateral relations between these two countries with a focus on mutually beneficial outcomes in the higher education sector, a press release issued by Macquarie University said.
