Kathmandu - Whether it is a graceful art of Tharu society, a
rich and vibrant of Newar community or of a Maithili and other indigenous
group, folk arts always offer a window into the lives, spirits, and souls of
the people who belongs to them. To preserve and promote the folk art, Nepal Fine
Art Academy organized 'First Folk Art exhibition 2069'.
Folk art started from Sunday will end by 6th
of August. Nepal
Fine Arts Academy organized a 16-day folk art exhibition at the Academy
premises from July 22. The exhibition has been organized to attract various
artists across the nation towards folk art and develop the art sector.
The creative arts of different artists including Newar, Maithili, Lama, Tharu, and other communities from various 20 districts are participating in the exhibition.
