Kathmandu - There is organization of several of beauty pageant competitions in the capital. Among, all other beauty contest, Miss Nepal is taken as the one and only contest which has been successful to get stability, In spite of some criticisms. The Miss Nepal was initiated since 1994 and up to this time, it has been successful to crown 17 personalities year after year as Miss Nepal. Just some days ago, a new girl has been crowned miss Nepal. But these challenges where beauty and intellectuality has a race to get triumph, is often criticized and some of the beauty pageants have been terminated as well. Let's find out, what are 16 previous Miss Nepal title holder, doing at this point of time.

The winner of the 1^st Miss Nepal, which was organised on 1994, was Ruby Rana .she is originally from Birgunj. Her life got a turn on, after she got that title. She has also acted in some movies and music videos. And now, she is running a beauty parlor.

Sumi Khadka from Kathmandu is the title holder of Miss Nepal 1995 and currently, she is a flight attendant in Qatar airways and exploring different Countries.

Poonam Ghimire was crowned the title in 1996.After that, she gained experience from media and currently she is in US In 1997, there was organization of two miss Nepal contest which were titled as miss Nepal and miss world Nepal organized by Kathmandu Jaycees and hidden treasure respectively.nilima Gurung as miss Nepal and jharna bajracharya as miss world Nepal.nilima  Gurung is a proprietor of a fitness center and jharna is still busy doing music videos.

Jyoti Shrestha ,  miss Nepal of 1998 didn't return to Nepal after she was taken abroad for international contest to us. So, the 1^st runner up neeru Shrestha was titled the Miss Nepal and she is a pilot by profession.

miss Nepal of 1999, shweta singh is currently running MC Studios. Miss Nepal of year 2000, Usha khadki was a Vj before she got the title and also is continuing a media career .She is also a fashion designer.She owns a boutique named "u r stylish". In 2001, Miss Nepal contest again got blocked so in 2002, malvika subba was successful to get the title .she is active in media and newly married. She has worked in music videos and also doing few movies. And now, she is busy in her own business. More over, she seems very happy in her conjugal life. Miss Nepal of 2003 is preity sitoula and is currently in US Miss Nepal of 2004, is payal shakya and she also seems contended staying in Australia.

Sugarika k.c. is known as Miss Nepal 2005 and is working as a CEO in action development center. Because of heavy disparagement, Miss Nepal could not get continuity in 2001 as well so, in 2007, Miss Nepal title was won by sitashma chand who is also working as a cabin crew in emirates Airlines. And again in 2008, next miss Nepal couldn’t be organised because of the same old reason. And the winner of 2009 edition of  Miss Nepal was Zenisha moktan.Zenisha  is currently studying  in London. Sadikshya Shrestha is the Miss Nepal of 2010.Accepted as an intellectual beauty, sadikshya is contributing her time in social work and at the same time, she is continuing her education.

Beauty from dharan, malina joshi got the victory of the title in 2011.She has completed MBA and is planning to establish her own business. And the 17^th Miss Nepal is shristi Shrestha. In this way, Miss Nepal is held every year but still none of them could make it up, to represent Nepal as the country of miss world up to now. They are backward in receiving international recognition. Let's hope, the representatives from Nepal would get success in introducing Nepal Internationally.
